They've been great by me before, however this time I'm not coming back. Went for a front end alignment. Steering wheel was completely left out of the equation and wasn't calibrated with the wheels. This is a beginner level mistake at best, make sure the steering wheel is straight before you do the alignment. I don't care what certification your guys have, fancy tech or that "We weren't at our best today." It's YOUR job. $120 and an hour later. I'm still struggling to figure out how mad or disappointed I should be. I'm not your average Marist student that comes to you with mommy or daddy's money. This is more than just a car. Treat it that way. I work on this car too.

What can I saw but a BIG THANK YOU to John, Adam, Laurie and the rest of the crew. They couldn't have been nicer and very professional. My wife and I (being out-of-towners) were in a pinch and they did everything possible to get the job done and meet our timing needs. If we were local, they would continue to get our business.

WOW! Highly recommended! Prior to a long driving trip, it was advised I ensure car was "road worthy" by getting a "Trip Check". BEST MONEY SPENT! Not only did Adam and team find serious issues, they were able to complete the work in one day. The fear of having an issue during the trip was put to ease with the efforts that were provided by North Road Auto. Overall cost, nothing compared to the expense that we could have had if we were to have broken down during the trip. Kudos to ADAM! Just stopping in for a low air sensor 3 weeks before, our trip would have not been as successful or safe without your suggestion. John, you have a great staff, if I am ever in the area again, I will pop in and say HELLO and thank you again!!

I moved to poughkeepsie a few months ago and wanted to find a place to have my oil changed. I googled places in my area and found North Road Auto. I booked an oil change there and I noticed when I arrived for the appointment the lady was unique in her behavior and the gentleman behind the counter seemed to be the owner or manager and was very pushy. I requested that a sticker be put in my windshield with a new service day so that I could return when my oil change was due. After the oil change and returning home I noticed the mechanic did not put the sticker in the window. This is a standard procedure that is completed daily. Also the mechanic has a vehicle identical to mine. I called and advised he forgot to put the sticker in the windshield the lady that answered the phone it was clear she could care less. I went back for my inspection and was told that my car passed inspection and that the mechanic needed to talk to me. I went back in their shop and I noticed that my new inspection sticker as already on my car. The mechanic who has a car identical to mine told me that although he cleared my car for inspection I had a light out in the back tail light and my license plate bulbs worked sometimes but sometimes they did not. He stated they were working at the moment so he couldnt show me they were not working. He also did not prove to me the back tail light was out. I told him that I just saw my tail lights the night before and there were no issues. He charged me $100.00 to allegedly fix lights that were out or could stop working when I leave but never proved to me they were out. Keep in mind he had already cleared my inspection and had inserted the new inspection sticker in my windshield. I left the shop and a short time later my car starting leaking oil, I immediately called my mechanic and booked a visit with him. When he examined my car he asked me did I have an oil change recently. I advised that I did he stated to me when the mechanic changed my oil he neglected to put the Diaphragm/Seal back in the oil filter housing. The cost was $266.00 as the seal is not sold separately. I immediately called the owner of North Road Auto and told him the history that I had with his so called professional shop. I requested a refund for the transaction of the light bulbs charges that were clearly a lie and that he cover the cost of my repair. I provided picture proofs of the filter housing showing the seal was missing and a picture of the invoice. The owner stated his mechanic did not follow proper protocol, if any lights were not working the customer must be shown proof. He also stated he would pay for the mechanic repairs and pay me an additional $100.00 for my time out of the office from work. He sent me a check and did not pay the additional $100.00 as he stated he would pay. The mechanic lied and the owner lied, I do believe I was treated this way because of my skin color as an African American man. I will never go back to the establishment again.

John is fantastic and takes the time to explain complex car issues. I had several issues with my vehicle and he went above and beyond to ensure it was taken care of. I highly recommend north road auto!
